Dr Melanie Dunkin

Dr. Melanie Dunkin graduated from James Cook University in 2016.
Having spent time at JCU Vet as a student during her degree, she began working as a GP veterinarian and has remained at JCU Vet ever since.
Melanie grew up in Papua New Guinea, where veterinarians are few and far between, and has come to appreciate the role vets can play in fostering community health and wellbeing.
Melanie enjoys teaching students and working with clients to understand how best to care for each pet in each unique situation. She has two cats and four chooks of her own.
