JCU Vet has a dedicated surgical suite with both soft tissue and orthpaedic theatres. The surgical service works closely with the Anaesthesia, Diagnostic Imaging, and Medicine services to ensure your pet has access to the best possible diagnostics, treatment, and care throughout their stay.
In addition to our permanent surgical staff, we host visiting surgeons twice per month to help us achieve optimal outcomes with more complex and critical surgical cases.
Surgical referral services include:

- Complex fracture repair
- Arthroscopic procedures

- Complex soft tissue surgery including adrenalectomies and thoracotomies
- Orofacial and airway surgery

Our surgical service operates via referral from your family veterinarian. Together we work closely to ensure that your pet has access to the best possible care at all times.
