JCU Vet operates a feline and canine blood donor program and we are always on the lookout for suitable donors. Just like in human medicine, the blood products we collect are critical in the treatment of some diseases and injuries, and allow us to provide life-saving treatment to patients in need.
Suitable donors include cats over 4kg, and dogs over 25kg. Donors must be friendly, between 1 & 7 years of age, and up to date on parasite prevention and vaccination.
Our donors receive free health screening, a free bag of food with each donation, and the pride of contributing to the life-saving treatment of another patient.
