Human Resource Administrator

Join Our Team!

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Human Resource Administrator to join our dedicated team at JCUVet! This is a part-time role (3 – 4 days a week with potential up to full time), requiring your valuable contribution. This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the heart of our operations, providing essential support to our Business Support Manager and Management Team, and working in close collaboration with our Finance team, JCU, internal and external stakeholders.

What You Will Do:

  • HR Administration: Efficiently manage HR tasks including maintaining employee records, managing correspondence, and ensuring compliance with HR policies.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead the recruitment process from job postings to onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and managing Locum staffing calendar arrangements (including travel and accommodation arrangements).
  • Employee Relations: Support employee engagement initiatives, recommend and assist in implementing improvements. Act as a first point of contact for employee concerns, facilitating mediation or escalation and maintaining a supportive work environment.
  • Performance Management: Support the execution of the management team in conducting performance evaluations and contribute to staff development initiatives.
  • Policy Implementation: Help enforce HR policies and practices, contributing to the development of a positive workplace culture.
  • HR Reporting: Compile essential HR metrics and reports for management review.
  • HR Platform Integration: Play a key role in integrating and optimising HR and L&D platforms to meet business needs.

Who You Are:

  • Qualified: You have qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or you are working towards one. Experience in HR or business administration is highly regarded.
  • Experienced: With at least 2 years in a similar role, you’re familiar with HR functions and best practices.
  • Skilled Communicator: Your excellent communication skills make you effective in employee relations and team collaboration.
  • Discreet: You understand the importance of handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Organised: Your exceptional organizational skills enable you to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential as we embark on integrating HR & L&D platforms into operations.

Key Relationships:

You’ll work closely with our Business Support Manager, Clinical Support Manager, Clinical Director and various stakeholders, in addition to liaising with our external HR Consultant and JCU stakeholders.
