JCU Vet works closely with the adjacent JCU Veterinary Diagnostic Pathology Laboratory. Together we are able to provide rapid diagnostics for exceptional patient care and student teaching from the James Cook University Townsville Campus.
JCU Veterinary Diagnostic Pathology is a university run teaching laboratory offering diagnostic services, across a range of animal species, including wildlife, and services Townsville and North Queensland.
Medical Laboratory Scientists, Necropsy Technicians, a Veterinary Microbiologist, a Veterinary Parasitologist and expert Veterinary Pathologists who provide teaching and quality practical experience for undergraduate students studying veterinary, biomedical and medical laboratory science staff the laboratory. Our laboratory and its staff also offer continuing education programs to local area veterinarians as well as assist and perform diagnostic testing for many research projects.
JCU Veterinary Diagnostic Pathology includes services in clinical pathology, cytopathology, microbiology, parasitology, histopathology, and necropsy.
